The top pool otherwise known as Moor Hall Pond is a small meandering shaped pond that is about 1 acre in size. The waters banks support quantities of reeds with about 15 flat, grass banked swims peering onto the pond. The pool has depths of upto 8-10 feet. Successful baits local anglers use include maggots and casters for the match fish and boilies for the larger carp.

The bottom pool otherwise known as Moor Hall Lake is a circular shaped lake that is about 2 acres in size. The water is generally featureless apart from the odd scattering of reed patches. The lake has depths of upto 10-12 feet in the centre of the pool. There are approximately 20-25 flat grass banked swims that would be suitable for disabled anglers. Successful baits include maggots and casters for the match fish and boilies for the carp.

The bottom reservoir contains slightly more fish than the top reservoir. Pretty much any fishing technique you like to use will catch well on the bottom Clive Vale Reservoir. Favoured techniques include ledgering luncheon meat for a mixed bag of carp, bream and tench or float fishing maggots, sweetcorn, luncheon meat in the margins for carp, roach, rudd, gudgeon, eels and perch.
