Saunders Gravel Pit is located in Rye near Rye Harbour. The water contains some stunning fish for the match angler including some stunning tench to over 5lb, bream to 5lb and a number of roach and rudd to 1lb 8oz. Saunders Gravel Pit also holds some beautiful specimen common and mirror carp for the carp fisherman that reach 30lb. The water also holds small perch to 1lb and some large eels that have been known to reach 6lb. The water is restricted to 30 anglers at any one time. Clive Vale Angling Club (CVAC) control Saunders Gravel Pit operating a club members only policy.

From Hastings Direction: Take the A259(Royal Military Road) to Rye. When you reach the end of Royal Military Road turn right onto Harbour Road. Rye Harbour Road - on the right - near first concrete factory?
From Other Directions: Take the A259 or A268 to Rye. Travel through Rye heading for Hastings. You should pass over a bridge that crosses the river Tillingam.
