The Fishery

Wylands Fisheries otherwise known as Wylands International Angling Centre is located on Powdermill Lane which runs in between Battle and Catsfield. Wylands is a well established fishery that spans across 150 acres of relaxing countryside. The waters between them make fishing suitable for any class of angler. Wylands fisheries offers exceptional facilties to the angler including on-site parking, night fishing, camping, caravaning, self catering chalets, a snack bar, male and female toilets and some beautiful county walks. The lakes between them hold carp to 28lb, bream to 9lb, tench to 9lb, roach and rudd to 3lb, some huge crucian carp to 3lb+ and huge perch to nearly 5lb.

Lakes

Field Lake - a small lake with small carp and barbell
House Lake - a popular lake located next to the cafe stocked with some good sized fish
Middle Lake - a 1 1/2 acre lake thought by many to be the best alround lake
Old Specimen Lake - a circular shaped 3 acre lake with an island
New Specimen Lake - a 2 acre lake with an island in the middle
Kell Lake - a secluded lake located in woodland in the corner of the fishery
Rosies Lake - a 2 acre round shaped lake, ideal for match anglers and juniors
Snake (Match) Lake - a water specially designed for the match angler and large matches

Rules

  1. Barbless hooks
  2. Nets must be dipped in the provided dip before fishing
  3. All fish must be returned to the water immediately
  4. Unhooking Mats must be used for large carp
  5. Bait Bans:
    Nuts, peas, beans, blood worm, joker, trout or pond pellets, fishmeal-based groundbait, trout pellet-based groundbait, fishmeal-based boilies
  6. Anglers must park all vehicles in the officially designated areas

Directions

Wylands International Angling Centre is located on Powdermill Lane which runs between Battle and Catsfield. When travelling from Battle, you will find the stunning Powdermills Hotel on your right on a sharp corner after travelling for about 1 mile. Continue following the road up the hill until you come to a clearing on the left. The entrance to Wylands is in the middle of this clearing and is well signposted.

When heading to Wylands fishery from the Catsfield direction, travel through Catsfield towards Battle, once through Catsfield you will come to a very sharp left hand bend with a right hand turning. Take the right hand turning, this will put you on Powdermill Lane, simply follow the road for a little bit until you come to a large clearing on your right with a big sign reading Wylands International Angling Centre.
