Frant Lakes Fishery

Lake 1

Lake 1 also known as “Skirmish” is located in the corner of the complex in woodland. The 2 acre lake is based around two central islands. Both the islands and the banks have dense amounts of overhanging trees and bushes, there is also a scattering of reeds. The swims are fairly flat grass banked swims that are raised slightly from the waters edge.

Lake 2

Lake 2 or “Stumps” as it is otherwise known is located in the corner of the Frant Lakes complex next to Lake 1 and Lake 3. The 2 acre lake has some large patches of reeds in the margins, lily pads, overhanging trees and bushes, and some trees stumps located in the centre of the lake. The swims are generally flat swims raised slightly from the waters edge.

Lake 3

A square shaped 2-3 acre lake joined to Lake 4 via a small foot bridge. The lake is also known as “Sunken Island”. The lake is surrounded by a scattering of trees and shrubbery with a few patches of reeds. The banks generally raised from the waters edge with some swims being flat and some being on a sloped bank.

Lake 4

Lake 4 otherwise known as the “Car Park Lake” is situated in the centre of the complex just below the reception hut and the toilets. This pictures square shaped 3-4 acre lake has a scattering of trees and shrubbery around the waters edge, some reeds in the margins, and a bridge that divides lake 3 and lake 4. The swims are generally flat, grassy pegs that are raised slightly from the waters edge.

Lake 5

Lake 5 otherwise know as “Waterfall” is one of the smallest lakes on the complex. The 1 acre lake has large patches of reeds in the margins and a few overhanging small trees and bushes. The grassy banked swims are generally flat and are raised slightly from the waters edge.

Lake 6

A horse shoe shaped 2 acre lake. The lake has a thin, straight island running from the bank out into the middle of the lake. The lake also has a number of overhanging trees and bushes and some reeds.

Speci 1

A long rectangular shaped 4 acre lake located at the foot of lake 5 “waterfall” and between the River Teise and Specimen Lake 2. The lakes features include a long row of sunken trees in the centre of the lake, reeds, lilies, and a few overhanging trees and bushes. The swims are flat, grassed banked swims raised slightly from the waters edge.

Speci 2

A square shaped 3 acre lake located at the foot of a hill and between the River Teise and Specimen Lake 1. Specimen Lake 2 is the furthest lake on the complex from the entrance hut. The lakes features include sunken trees, reeds, lilies, and overhanging bushes. The swims are flat, grassed banked swims raised slightly from the waters edge.

River Teise

A stretch of the River Teise runs round the back of the Frant Lakes complex. The majority of the river is fairly narrow with a number of dense overhanging trees and bushes. The stretch of the river found just behind specimen lake 1 and specimen lake 2 has fairly flat banks but the rest is on quite steep banks.
