The Fishery

Hartley Lands Farm Fishery is a eight water fishery set on peaceful Cranbrook farm land. The lakes between them hold a number of fish including: mirror carp to 19lb, common carp to 19lb, ghost carp to 16lb, tench to 2lb, some good roach to 1lb 8oz, and some large perch to 5lb. There are a variety of lakes to fish at Hartley Lands Fishery ranging from small secluded ponds to a large open reservoir.

Lakes

Samson Pond - A small pond surrounded by overhanging shrubbery.
Pear Tree Lake - An open oval shaped lake with two central islands.
Woodside Pond - A small pond set in the edge of some woods.
Nicks Lake - One of the largest waters on the farm.
Hennicker Pond - A long oval shaped water surrounded by trees and shrubbery.
Bramley Lake - An open oval shaped water with central island.
Finches Pond - A long thin lake set in woodland.
The Reservoir - A large oval shaped reservoir.

Rules

  1. Barbless hooks only. No micro barb
  2. Unhooking mat required
  3. Landing net required
  4. Landing nets must be dipped
  5. No keepnets (except matches) or sacks to be used
  6. Fish over 4oz must be landed with a net
  7. No tins or cans allowed on the bank
  8. Litter must be taken home
  9. No dogs
  10. No trout pellets or trout paste
  11. No boilies
  12. Maximum of 4 pints of bait
  13. Maximum of 2kg of groundbait


Directions

From Hastings: Take the A21 to Coopers Corner (just past Hurst Green), turn right onto the A229 towards Hawkhurst. Follow the A229 towards Cranbrook. Just before Cranbrook you will find a turning on the right with a signpost saying Hartley Lands Farm Fishery (Swattenden Lane). Follow this lane for about 1/4, the entrance to the fishery is on the left through some orchard fields (you will see an official brown tourist info sign on a pole), follow the gravel track until you reach the car park.

From Sevenoaks: Take the A21 to the roundabout just before the Lamberhurst bypass (short stretch of dual carriageway), turn left at this roundabout (A262) towards Goudhurst and Horsmonden. Follow the road through Goudhurst until you reach Iden Green, turn right just after Iden Green onto Glassenbury Road (the B2085) towards Hartley. Turn left at the end of this road (you are now on the A229), Take the road the next almost immediate road on your right with a signpost saying Hartley Lands Farm Fishery (Swattenden Lane). Follow this lane for about 1/4, the entrance to the fishery is on the left through some orchard fields (you will see an official brown tourist info sign on a pole), follow the gravel track until you reach the car park.
