Using The Fishe Website With a Keyboard Only

The Fishe website can be used by using the keyboard alone, simply by using the "Shift", "Tab", and "Enter" keys and the access keys described in the "Access Keys" section below.

Tabbing Navigation

Fishe readers can navigate the website simply by using the shift "Shift", "Tab", and "Enter" keys. The tab key can be used to move from link to link in an ordered fashion. a friendly tab system has been included in this website so priority links are only a few tab key presses away.

Tabbing Forward

Press the "Tab" key (usually located above the "Caps Lock" key) to highlight the first link. If it is not the link you require simply press the "Tab" key again and again until the link you desire is highlighted. Once the link that is required is highlighted simply press the "Enter" key (otherwise known as the "Return" key - the large button usually located to the right of the "@" key).

Tabbing Backwards

To highlight the previous link: Hold the "Shift" key (either of the buttons located above the "Ctrl" buttons) and press the "Tab" key once (usually located above the "Caps Lock" key). If it is not the link you require simply keep the "Shift" key held down and press the "Tab" key again and again until the link you desire is highlighted. Once the link that is required is highlighted simply press the "Enter" key (otherwise known as the "Return" key - the large button usually located to the right of the "@" key).

Following a Link

Once the link that is required is highlighted simply press the "Enter" key (otherwise known as the "Return" key - the large button usually located to the right of the "@" key).

Access Keys (Shortcut Keys)

Access keys or shortcut keys are a very quick and easy way to navigate to one of the main pages within this website. Access keys are shortcuts to the main links used within this site. To use access keys within this site simply hold down the "Alt" key on a PC or the "Ctrl" key on an Apple Mac, then press the number corresponding to the page you require from the access key listed below, then press the "Enter" key (otherwise known as the "Return" key - the large button usually located to the right of the "@" key).

Site Map

This web site supports a Site map which can be used to assist in navigating the Fishe website. The site map contains links to every page within the Fishe website. The site map is similar to an Index of a book.

Change Text Size

Internet Explorer Users: To change the size of the text, click on "View" on the toolbar at the very top of the page. A menu will drop down. Click on "Text Size". Another menu will appear. Now simply click on the text size you require (for example: Click on "Largest" to make the text as large as possible).

Change Font Style

Internet Explorer Users: To change the font style of the text, click on "Tools" on the toolbar at the very top of the page. A menu will drop down. Click on "Internet Options". An "Internet Options" box will open. Click on the "Accessibility" button in the bottom right hand corner. An "Accessibility" box will open. Click the check box labelled "Ignore font styles specified on Web pages". Click OK. Click OK again.

Change Colour

If you are having trouble reading the website because the colours used are making it difficult to read please do the following:

Internet Explorer Users: To make the colour of the website plain white with black text and standard blue links, click on "Tools" on the toolbar at the very top of the page. A menu will drop down. Click on "Internet Options". An "Internet Options" box will open. Click on the "Accessibility" button in the bottom right hand corner. An "Accessibility" box will open. Click the check box labelled "Ignore colors specified on Web pages". Click OK. Click OK again.

Using Your Own Style Sheet

Internet Explorer Users: Internet Explorer Users: To make the colour of the website plain white with black text and standard blue links, click on "Tools" on the toolbar at the very top of the page. A menu will drop down. Click on "Internet Options". An "Internet Options" box will open. Click on the "Accessibility" button in the bottom right hand corner. An "Accessibility" box will open. Click the check box labelled "Format documents using my style sheet". Click the "Browse" button, locate the style sheet file, left click on the file and then click "Open". Click OK. Click OK again.
