Sumners Ponds Fishery is situated 10 mins away from Horsham town centre so it is pretty easy to stock up before fishing. This popular fishing venue is made up of 5 fishing lakes / ponds. Sumners Ponds is a day ticket fishery offering 4.5 acres of well stocked water in two ponds and are open all year. The smaller of the two ponds is one of the most prolific in the area and is ideal for well behaved youngsters, as there are always oportunities to catch, whatever the weather! There is plenty to interest the serious angler here to with Carp to 24lbs and an abundance of Roach, Rudd, Perch, Chubb and Tench. The larger pond has the bigger fish with a large number of doubles and twenties, with the largest around 36lb. There are some fine Chub to be had here at 6lb, Bream at 7lbs, Tench to 9lbs, and Perch to 3lb. Roach to 2lb can be found in both lakes.
There are lake-side camping and glamping facilities available with views over the water, so ideal for the whole family. They have just installed a brand new shower and washing/WC block which offers ample space and high quality modern washing facilities. There is a new on-site shop and cafe selling hot and cold snacks, ice creams, drinks, bait and sundries and direct access to many acres of woodland walks on footpaths and cycle ways. There is also direct footpath access to Barns Green Village with its pub and well stocked post office and shop.
Please note: the largest of the 5 lakes is no longer a day ticket water, anglers must have lakeside accommodation or pitch unless you are a member.
