Clive Vale Reservoirs

Clive Vale reservoirs are a popular water amongst junior anglers and match anglers due to the variety of good sized fish and due to the scores of small carp. Clive Vale Reservoirs are two small reservoirs that size about 2-3 acres in total. Clive Vale reservoirs are located half way down Harold Road opposite the shop. The water is owned by Clive Vale Angling Club but day ticket fishing is welcomed. There are a number of junior matches held on the top reservoir through the summer months. The waters between them hold a large quantity of carp that currently reach 20lb. The carp are generally thought of as easy to catch. The waters also hold specimen crucian carp to 2lb, bream to 2lb, tench to 4lb, roach and rudd to 1lb, gudgeon, perch to 2lb and large eels to 5lb.

Disabled Fishing - There is one dedicated disabled swim on the top lake located about 5 metres from the gate. The swim is concrete with a railing in front of the waters edge. I believe registered disabled anglers are allowed to drive down the steep gravel track and stop next to the gate. The top reservoir is pretty much flat from the gate with the remainder of the lake being pretty much flat grass. The bottom lake may be accessible on the far side for some disabled anglers, the gate is next to a rough but flat unadopted road, from the gate there is a reasonably gentle grass slope behind the toilet block with some flat swims on the wall side. The toilets aren't really accessible when fishing the top lake. The toilets have a small step/lip up.

Toilets - There is a toilet block located on the bottom lake.

Parking - Parking available on surrounding roads.

Shop - There is a convenience shop on the roadside near the lakes where day tickets / memberships and certain baits can be purchased.

Catch Report

"loadsa fish"

"Caught loadsa fish but there really isn't that much room to cast when the lake is full"

Review from Ian

"Excellent fishing"

"Excellent fishing, I go mid week due to my job and although there's not much bigguns in there (that I've caught yet) it's very easy to fish both top and bottom ponds"
