Clive Vale Angling Club is a long standing coarse fishing club that was first established in 1912. The club controls a number of coarse fishing waters in the Hastings and Rother area of East Sussex including a number of stretches of river and a number of still waters. Memberships are available from local fishing tackle shops. Clive Vale Angling still run the odd fishing match.

Clive Vale reservoirs are a popular water amongst junior anglers and
match anglers due to the variety of good sized fish and due to the scores
of small carp. Clive Vale Reservoirs are two small reservoirs that size
about 2-3 acres in total. Clive Vale reservoirs are located half way
down Harold Road opposite the shop. The water is owned by Clive Vale
Angling Club but day ticket fishing is welcomed.

Saunders Gravel Pit is located in Rye near Rye Harbour. The water contains
some stunning fish for the match angler including some stunning tench
to over 5lb, bream to 5lb and a number of roach and rudd to 1lb 8oz.
Saunders Gravel Pit also holds some beautiful specimen common and mirror
carp for the carp fisherman that reach 30lb+.

Point Field Pit is a 3 acre Fishing lake that is located near the village of Camber, East Sussex. The lake was newly acquired by Clive Vale in 2013 and is an unknown water, the lake does hold 25lb+ carp , eels to over 5lb and rudd.

The Beeches is located in the peaceful countryside in between the coutry
villages of Peasmarsh and Wittersham. It can be found a quarter of mile
north of blackwall bridge on the left hand side of the road from Peasmarsh
to Wittersham. The lake covers aproximately 1-2 acres of water. The
water hosts a lot of match fish which include tench to 4lb, roach and rudd to 2lb and carp to over 15lb.

The River Rother runs from Rotherfield through Kent and East Sussex to the idyllic town of Rye where the mouth of the river can be found. The water holds a mix of fish species and is very popular with Pike anglers. A number of clubs have access to the river who often run match fishing competitions.

The Royal Military Canal was built around the early 1800's for defense in response to a possible invasion by Napoleon. Defensive towers were positioned along the canal. The 28 mile long canal runs from Seabrook in Kent along to East Sussex. The Military Canal holds usual array of freshwater fish found in rivers around the UK with some large Carp and Pike, Perch, Eels and Tench. This scenic water supports a variety of wildlife that includes Mute swan, Kingfisher, heron, the endangerourd water vole, mink, glow worms and frogs. The river also large patches of lily pads that looks stunning when in bloom with a blanket of yellow covering the river.

Jury's Gap Sewer is a drainage channel from Lydd to Camber. The water holds some great specimen Bream to over 8lb, pike to over 25lb, perch, dace, eels, roach, rudd and the occasional carp.
Newhouse Sewer is a drainage ditch that runs into the river Brede near the historic village of Winchelsea. The river holds tench to 4lb+, pike 10lb, eels 4lb+, perch, roach and rudd. The river can be effected by heavy weed growth during the summer months.
A shallow stream that flows into the river Brede, the stream holds, small trout and the occasional small chub and dace.
Clive Vale have access to a stretch of the river Brede and a drainage ditch. The river holds a mix of fish species including: Pike to over 20lb, Chub 4lb+, Bream 3lb+, perch, eels, dace, roach, rudd along with a few carp and tench.
Located near the ancient and beautiful village of Winchelsea is the River Brede which provides some great fishing. The river holds a wide variety of fish species these include: pike to 20lb, tench 6lb, bream 6lb, eels, 4lb, perch 3lb, dace 1lb, roach and rudd to 2lb, mullet and sea trout often appear in the summer months. Barbel have also recently been introduced to the river.

Clive Vale anglers have access to a stretch of the River Tillingham located north of the historic and charming harbor town of Rye, East Sussex. The river holds a mix of fish including pike, bream, tench, perch, chub, dace, roach, rudd and the occasional sea trout has also been caught from the River Tillingham.
