Horam Manor Farm Fishery
Horam Manor fishery is a nine water fishery located on the Horam Manor grounds just off the A267.
The waters are spread across miles of secluded woods which team with woodland wildlife including
a number of Kingfishers.
The complex offers a number of facilities to the visitor including tea rooms, toilets, car park,
caravan/camping site, nature trails and museums. The majority of the lakes are set in the wooded
areas of the complex.
Nearly all of the waters are surrounded by numerous overhanging trees and bushes. The waters between
them hold Carp to 25lb, Tench to 6lb, Bream to 5lb, Crucian Carp to 1lb, Roach and Rudd to 1lb,
Perch to 3lb+ and the odd large Eel to over 4lb.
The water is open all year round.

The House Pond is a small, shallow, oval shaped pond that is approximately 1/4 acre in size. The pond is one of the first waters you come across when you reach the fishing car park. The water is surrounded by over hanging trees and bushes apart from the car park side of the pond where the swims are located. This water is suitable for disabled anglers. House Pond is a very shallow water with the deepest regions reaching appoximately 3 feet. Baits which work well on this water include maggots, luncheon meat, sweetcorn and bread.

Great Pond is small picturess, oval shaped, 1 acre pond. This water is very popular amongst fisherman
due to the pond being located next to the car park, the cafe and the toilets. Great Pond is packed
with features including lilly pads, reeds, weed beds, an island and a few overhanging trees and bushes.
The ponds depths range from 3-5 feet. The swims are generally slightly sloped grass banks.
Pretty much any bait you care to use will work on this water including luncheon meat, sweetcorn,
maggots, casters, lobworm, bread, dog biscuits and boilies.

Banky Fork is a small 1/2 acre pond situated in the centre of a heavily wooded area. Features on this water include a number of overhanging trees and bushes and reed beds. Banky Fork is one of the deeper waters on the Horam Manor complex with depths of upto 7 feet. There are approximately 5 dirt-based swims of which 3 are flat and the other 2 are on a slight slope. The fish in Banky Fork aren't too fussy, the carp enjoy luncheon meat, bread, dog biscuits and boilies and the match fish enjoy maggots, casters, lobworm, sweetcorn, luncheon meat and bread.

The Long Water is a long 1/2 acre pond situated in the centre of a heavily wooded area. Features on this water include a number of overhanging trees and bushes. Long Water is the deepest water on the Horam Manor complex with depths of upto 12 feet. There are approximately 5 banked swims. Long Water's carp enjoy luncheon meat, bread, dog biscuits and boilies and the match fish enjoy maggots, casters, lobworm, sweetcorn and bread.

Brook Pit is one of the smaller waters on the complex. The water is a small oval shaped pond that is approximately 1/4 in size. Brook Pit has a scattering of overhanging trees and bushes and a small reed bed. The waters depths range from 3-7 feet. There are approximately 5 sloped banked swims.

The Lagoon is a long, narrow, 1 acre lake situated on the outskirts of the wood, located at the bottom of a field. The water has got reeds in the margins and a number of overhanging trees and bushes on the far bank. The Lagoon has depths ranging from 4-6 feet. There are approximately 6 swims that are flat grass banked pegs that are slightly raised from the waters edge.

It is a long 15 minute trek to Clearhedges as it is one of the furhest waters from the fishing car park. Once you get there, the walk is worth it, with this peaceful, secluded lake that is packed with features which include lilly pads, reeds and many overhanging trees and bushes. Clearhedges is the largest lake on the complex offering 20 pegs.

Horam Manor is located on the outskirts of Horam on the A267.
If you are driving South through Horam then you will find the estate signposted on the right as you
leave the village. Once on the complex follow the road past the caravan/camping site until you reach
the fishing carp park which is situated between the tea rooms in front of you and a lake either side.
