Club water run by Clive Vale Angling Club
Named after the village of Brede the river runs from Netherfield into the River Tillingham and then onto the River Rother where it then flows into the sea at Rye. The river was once used for navigation and a trading route where trade boats could travel as far inland as Sedlescomb.
The River Brede holds the usual river fish with some nice tench and bream to over 6lb there are also the occasional sea trout and mullet and in recent years barbel have been introduced to the river with several stockings.
