Sharnfold Farm Fishing Lake
Sharnfold Farm Fishery is one of three man-made lakes dug in 1995. The other two lakes are used for
irrigation and conservation. The fishable lake is a natural looking match fishing water that holds
a number of different match fish including some beautiful specimen Tench to over 6lb, Bream to 3lb,
Barbell to 8lb, Chub to 4lb and Roach / Rudd to 1lb 8oz. The lake also holds some small Eels and
good sized perch to 4lb.
Sharnfold Farm Match Fishery is completely carp free other than small Crucian Carp to 1lb+.
Sharnfold Farm is a great day out for the family with numerours activities and facilities to offer
including: a farm shop, camping, wild-flower field, maize maze, hollow hideout,
adventure play park, lawn games land, timber town, critter corner, country trails, recreational crafts,
a multitude of farm animals, a large range of fruit picking and lots more.

Sharnfold Farm Lake is a beautiful 1 1/2 acre, doughnut shaped lake surrounded by farmland and nature reserve land. The lake has 16 low grassy banked swims that are situated in between reed beds. The main distinguishing feature of the Sharnfold lake other than the reed beds is the reeded island in the centre of the lake. The lakes depths average 6-8 feet. Successful baits on this water include luncheon meat, maggots, casters, and worms.

"Lovely afternoon, after a lot of bites and some small Roach I did some margin fishing on bread flakes
with corn....bang.... a good 5lb barbel which fought really well."
