House Lake

The House Lake is one of the first lakes you will see on the complex located to the right of the track, situated just below the main buildings. It also one of the most popular waters on the complex not only because of the huge head of double figure carp in the water but also because of its prime location next to the snack bar, tackle shop and the toilets. This 2 acre lake is extremely picturesque in the hot summer months with its arched wooden bridge arching over the far end of the water, a small island in the centre of the lake, beds of reeds in the margins and a number of overhanging trees and bushes. Match nets regularly top 70lb.
With disabled access to 2 of the banks near the road it provides easy accessibility for those anglers not wanting to walk too far.

Maisies Lake

This is our dedicated catfish water. Stocked with 62 catfish to 58lb in 2011, averaging 15-20lb. The 4 acre water offers anglers the chance to catch their first catfish along with the possibility of a larger fish. Growth rates have been excessive with one catfish putting on 11lb in 12 months. They have bred successfully so stock rates should increase given anglers a better chance of catching a moggy.

The Catfish have grown substantially over the last 5 years with catfish up to (70lb +) carp (25lb+) Good head of carp, the maximum size is relatively unknown due to lack of carp angling pressure
the only lake on the complex that requires booking as the lake is limited to a maximum of 9 anglers.

The lake is limited to 9 anglers at a time, so booking is essential for this lake.

"3 carp on red robin fishing boilies"

"I went to wylands last year at the beginning of august and I had a very interesting time. I only went for a day but caught 3 carp , one 10.3 lb. and two five pound carp. now I know some of you anglers will think these were small but I was fishing in a lake were the biggest was only fifteen pound. my chosen bait was red robin fishing boilies and red dynamite ground bait . I suggest this fishery to mid skilled anglers , but not for beginners and if you are a expert well you would just be showing off ;) difficulty rating out of 10 I would have to say 6-7 . hope this comment helped and remember guys , TIGHT LINES!".
