Fennes Fishery is made up of 3 well maintained spring fed lakes that provides nearly 15 acres of water to fish. The lakes hold some good size carp up to 32lb along with Tench, bream, roach and perch.
Onsite Facilities
Fennes fishery run a tackle shop that is stocked with both fresh and frozen bait, fishing equipment and line tackle. Bank sides and platform pegs and toilets are all well maintained by the fishery. Refreshments van open on spring and summer weekends
Waters at Fennes are all within walking distance of each other and include:
- Ash Grounds Lake is a 6 acre lake that has 60 pegs with 1000 yards of bank and several islands to fish. Fish species on this water include: carp, tench, bream, roach, chub, barbel and perch.
- Hobbs Croft Lake is 3.5 acre water that has 25 pegs and is accessible for disabled anglers. This water is home to Fennes Fishery's largest resident carp of around 30lb.
- Hill and Black Lake is 6 acre water that has been converted from a farm irrigation reservoir. This water holds a mix of coarse fish similar to Ash Grounds lake.

Bocking is 3 miles north of Braintree on the A131. Heading towards Sudbury, follow the brown tourist signs and turn off the A131 into Bocking Church Street. The fishery is signposted half a mile down Fennes Road, which is a right turn by the Village Hall.
