Oak Lakes Fisheries
Oak Lakes Fisheries is made up of four fishing lakes over 40 acres located in the peaceful area of Southminster, Essex. Each lake is designed with a different angler in mind, whether Carp, match or predator fishing. The venue holds some great specimen fish including a record-breaking Catfish weighing 144lb caught in 2012, along with Carp and Pike to over 30lb.
The fishery is surrounded by great wildlife including Muntjac deer, rabbits, hares, woodpeckers and kingfishers. Oak Lakes story began over 70 years ago as gravel pits, evolving since 2008 into a premier fishing destination. The venue offers comprehensive facilities including cafe, toilets, showers, tackle shop, parking, night fishing, and disabled access swims. Bookings are made via SwimBooker.

Fishing Lakes
Oak Lakes Fisheries consists of 4 fishing lakes which include:
Oak Lake - A spring-fed 60+ year old mature lake offering day and 24-hour fishing tickets. Ranging from 3 to 14 feet deep, it features 26 swims including double and disabled access swims. Stocked with Carp over 40lb and Pike to 30lb with Tench, Roach, Perch, Rudd and Bream also. Features include lily pads, reeds, overhanging trees, shrubs, gravel bars and a pontoon for island access.
Pipe Lake - A members-only lake featuring 11 swims (4 doubles and 7 singles, including two accessible options). Accommodates up to 55 members with a waiting list currently in place. Primarily stocked with Carp, with at least 12 over 30lb and over 60 exceeding 20lb. Notable catches include both Mirror Carp and Common Carp over 40lb. Spanning 3.6 acres with depths up to 14 feet.
Catfish Lake - A spring-fed 3-acre lake with depths of 5 to 16 feet. Boasts a strong population of Catfish with the biggest weighing between 100lb and nearly 150lb. Features 4 large swims. Open for day and night fishing in a secluded spot with separate car park. Lake exclusive bookings available.
Match Lake - Well stocked with Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd and Bream. The lake is 2.5 acres in size with depths to around 6 feet and features 3 islands with 20 swims. Home matches held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays from March through to October.
