Oak Lakes Fisheries

Oak Lakes Fisheries is made up of four fishing lakes over 40 acres with each lake designed with a different angler in mind whether carp, match or predator fishing. This popular fishing venue is located in peaceful area of Southminster, Essex with some great wildlife in the surrounding area, you may spot a Monkjack deer, rabbits, hares, woodpeckers and kingfishers.

Lakes are stocked with some great specimen fish including a record breaking catfish weighing in at 144lb that was caught in 2012 along with carp and pike to over 30lb. Alternatively match lake holds some great match fish with Tench, Perch, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Gudgeon, Koi Carp and Crucian Carp.

Oak Lakes Fisheries consists of 4 lakes which include:

Oak Lake - a 60 year old lake with a mix of carp and match fish.
Pipe Lake - specimen carp lake for members only.

Oak Lake

Over 60 years old Oak lake is a mature lake that has many features including a natural spring flowing in to the lake, lily pads, reeds, overhanging trees, shrubs and gravel bars. This day ticket lake is stocked with both match fish and carp to over 30lb. Paths and swims are all mulch-lined to allow for easy access.

Pipe Lake (members only)

A well stocked lake with around 12 plus carp to 30lb+ and a number of 20lb+ carp. Pipe lake is a members only water that is 3.6 acres in size with depths to around 14 foot. This 40 year old lake is well maintained lake with bark mulch-lined swims.

Predator lake

Predator lake is a 16 foot deep 3 acre lake with some monster catfish to over 140lb and good specimen pike to around 30lb. The lake fed by a spring, swims are bark mulch lake has its own separate facilities and car park.

Match Lake

Oak Lakes Fisheries match lake is well stocked with Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd and Bream. The lake itself is 2.5 acres in size with depths to around 6 foot and features 3 islands.

Home matches are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays in the months of March through to October. Everyone is welcome to attend these home matches.
