Gabriels Fishery
Here at Gabriel's Fishery, we have five large beautiful lakes together with a mile and a quarter of river fishing
along the banks of the River Eden all of these are filled with a variety of fish species for fishing activities.
All river fishing is subject to the Environment Agency season and may include catches of Chub, Perch, Rudd and Pike.
The lakes are set in partial woodland giving contrast light and shade over the water. The water lilies and marginal
plants put on an attractive display not only for the angler to appreciate but to provide the ideal ecology for fish
to flourish in.
On site facilities include a 24-hour vending machine which holds a stock of maggots, worms, ground bait, hooks,
boilies, weights, glugs, night lights and much more. We also have bait and equipment for sale in our visitors centre.
Gabriels Fishery has disabled access fishing and the toilets have disabled access. There is a hot shower on the
campsite which is a very short drive from the fishery.
2018 Catch: A 44lb Common Carp was caught from Admiral Lake at Gabriels Fishery.
The lakes are open all year round (subject to natural conditions, maintenances and private hire).

Oak Lake is a Carp water with Mirror Carp to 30lbs. The water also sports Common Carp, Rudd, Chub and Bream.
Swallow Lake
Swallow Lake offers pleasure/mixed fishing with Bream, Roach, Rudd and Carp.
The Carp average 6-8lb with the larger fish reaching up to 12lb Common Carp and 13lb Mirror Carp
Admiral Lake (Carp Lake)
Admiral Lake is a specimen water, with Grass Carp, Common Carp and Mirror Carp to 45lbs. A 42” landing net together with either a Carp cradle or weighing tripod system.
River Eden
There is over a mile of the River Eden to fish at Gabriels Fishery which gives you the chance to catch Pike to 24lbs+, Chub to 7lbs, Perch to 4lbs+, Carp, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Gudgeon and possibly the chance to catch a Barbel. The river is closed from the 15th March - 15th June inclusive.

"Top place"
"Top place staff and bailifs are really good always their to help if needed got shop on site normally open
from 11 till about 2 /3 depending on weather in summer it normally open. Alday got good head of doubles in oak
can be hard but luncheon meat is the 1 back to basics fish tight to the margins / island they also got hot water
shower block down in camping field so if you do a long session then their is shower facilities there."
