Hawkhurst Fishery is a large fishery sculptured into tranquil Kent countryside settings. Hawkhurst Fishery also known as Hawkhurst Fish Farm is a seven lake fishery. The complex contains a match lake, three junior ponds, and three lakes with large specimen fish. The waters between them hold mirror carp to 54lb, common carp to 51lb, grass carp to 22lb, catfish to 88lb, tench to 9lb, small roach, rudd and perch, and the odd eel to 6lb. Apart from the Specimen Lake, the water is closed from mid December to mid Febuary. This scenic complex contains picturesque features such as gardens and a waterfall as well as supporting a host of wildlife such as ducks, swans, swifts, swallows, kingfishers and lots more. The lakes have a number of oxygenating springs pumping flumes of bubbles from the bottom to the surface. These pumps create mini jacuzzis which the fish seem to be attracted to. The complex is based around a large cafe that overlooks the Main Lake.

Match Lake - A long thin one acre rectangle shaped man made lake with 20 swims.
Main Lake - A large picturesque four acre lake with many features.
Dove Lake - A 1 1/2 acre square shaped lake with two islands and overhanging trees.
Juniors Lakes - Three small man made ponds, made specifically for junior anglers.
Specimen Lake - A large 3 1/2 acre rectangular shaped lake.
Match Lake is the first water that you will see as you enter the complex, located next to Main Lake and the cafe / main building. This 1 acre man made rectangle shaped lake contains 20 swims. The swims are flat wooden platforms that stretch over the waters edge. The bottom of the lake is basin shaped, starting at a few feet at the edges, dropping to 11 feet in the centre. The lake has a number of oxygenating springs. Match bookings and corporate events are available on this lake.

Main Lake, the second lake you will see once on the complex, is the largest lake at the fishery, totaling 4 acres. The lake is overlooked by a large cafe. The lake is packed with features including overhanging trees and bushes, islands, bridges, oxygenating bubble springs, and reeds in the margins. The swims are generally flat swims raised slightly from the waters edge.

Dove Lake is a square shaped 1 1/2 acre lake . The lake is surrounded by trees, shrubbery and patches of reeds. The lake has two islands and a number of oxgenating bubble springs. The swims are raised from the waters edge with a few wooden platforms stretching over the water

There are three junior rectangle shaped ponds situated behind the bailiffs office and flower shop; located just below the Specimen Lake. The ponds between them total approximately 1/4 acre in size. The ponds contain a number of oxygenating bubble springs that the fish are attracted to.

Specimen Lake, the furthest lake on the complex from the entrance offers a sense of seclusion from the rest of the fishery as well as offering a much more wild, natural looking environment. This 3 1/2 acre lake is packed with features including patches of lily pads, overhanging trees and bushes, patches of reeds in the margins, an island, and oxygenating bubble springs. The swims are generally flat grass banked swims raised slightly from the waters edge, this lake also offers the angler the opportunity to stalk the fish. This is a member's only lake. From Hastings: Take the A21 to Coopers Corner (just past Hurst Green), turn right towards Hawkhurst. Once in Hawkhurst turn right onto Hastings Road (B2244) which is opposite a large open green. Follow the road for about 1000 - 2000 metres, turn left on to the Fish Farm which is signposted.
