From Hastings: Take the A21 past the Lamberhurst bypass, keep following the A21 (3 miles) until you reach the roundabout just before the next dual carriageway, turn right towards Paddock Wood (roundabout signpost says Frant Station (left) A21 (forward) Paddock Wood (right)). Follow this road (B2160) through Matfield into Paddock Wood. Keep following this road past the petrol station, over the railway bridge. On the right is a lane signposted "Lucks Lane" (its about the second right) Follow the narrow lane for about 1 mile, you will pass over a railway crossing, Lucks Lane Lake entrance is about 1/2 mile from the railway crossing on the right as you turn a sharp corner (there is a small building opposite with a white corrugated roof and with wire fencing outside). There is some small signposts and a gate entrance and some apple orchards. Follow the track for about 50 metres until you reach the car park and trailer.

"I have visited lux lane on 1 occasion it was very overcrowded, anglers many being teenagers or younger had no regard for the well being of the fish, I watched them being dropped thrown back in like you would through a stick for a dog.
My personal opinion is it is featureless, a square clay pit dug in a field, with the thought of tipper lorries turning up to empty fish into a hole.
Things might have changed now as this was the first and last time I went to the venue, some 2 years ago.
Call me old fashioned, but a lake that has been established for many years with features such as old oaks willows etc is more my bag, than a hole in the ground. Okay if you just want to bang fish out without any skill put into your fishing, presentation, feeding and things a little more than just lobbing a lead in an pulling fish out, I also noticed on my trip there that the line being used was so strong 10ib ish carp were just being lifted out without any landing net,( A BIT OF A JOKE REALLY).
Thanks for listening Tim.".
