Shillinglee Carp Fishery
Shillinglee Carp Fishery is located on the Surrey / Sussex border and offers 4 fishing lakes / ponds in a peaceful woodland setting. The main specimen lake is around 6 1/2 acres and holds Ghost, Common and Mirror Carp to over 30lb, with Tench, Roach, Golden Rudd, Perch and Pike also present. The Pike at this fishery have been known to reach 40lb+ in the not so distant past.
The fishery has been run as a day ticket water since 1995 and is open all year round. The smaller ponds provide additional day ticket options, including waters that are often used for lighter mixed coarse fishing.

Fishing Lakes
Specimen Lake: The largest lake is a beautiful spring fed fishing lake, 6 1/2 acres in size. Stocked with a number of Ghost, Common and Mirror Carp the largest go to well over 30lb with the current record a 39lb 12oz Mirror Carp caught in 2010.The lake also holds a number of good sized Tench reaching 10lb with Roach, Golden Rudd and Perch to around 2lb along with some large Pike to nearly 30lb.
Silverdale Pond: In 1995 Silverdale lake was formed from a dam being built in front of a spring that feeds the larger specimen Carp lake. Silverdale pond is a deep water that holds a number of small Carp, Tench and Golden Rudd. The pond is used for breeding Carp. Anglers are often reporting catches of a dozen Carp a session.
