More House Farm Lakes
More House Farm Fishery is a day ticket water located by the small village of Wivelsfield, in the
East Sussex countryside. The fishery is made up of 5 fishing lakes that cater for both match and
carp anglers. Lakes include Kingsfisher that holds specimen ghost carp, common carp and mirror carp
with the largest carp at 40lb+ along with 2 match / coarse fishing lakes which include 'Canal Lake'
and 'Sidewinder lake' which are stocked with a mixture of coarse fish including tench, bream, barbel,
chub, roach along with carp.
Crowborough and District Anglers Association members are offered cheaper day tickets when paid prior
to fishing.
NEW Lakes Added Oct 2021 - Two new speciman carp lakes have been built and opened
October 2021, these lakes are named Dogwood Lake with carp to 32lb along with some lovely tench.
The second new lake is Oaks Lake which has carp from 15lb to 33lb.

Membership (£15.00) is required To fish More House Farm's Specimen Lakes: Kingfisher Lake, Dogwood Lake, Oak Lake.

Canal Lake is aimed at the match anglers with carp up to 20lb with an average of 6lb, the water is also well stocked with tench. A good mixed lake ideal for open matches. The water has been made approximately 15 metres wide with pole fishing in mind. Fishing matches are regularly held on this water, the lake is also available for open booking of fishing matches.

Sidewinder is a lake that has been formed by joining two ponds together with a causeway. The lake holds a mix of fish including carp, tench, silvers, bream, roach, barbel and the odd chub. The water has a total of 50 swims for anglers to fish from and water depths up to 6 foot deep. F1 carp have also now been added.

Kingfisher Lake is a specimen carp lake built in 1980 that is stocked predominantly with carp up to 40lb+. The lake is surrounded by grassland and large oak trees. The water has a total of 17 swims made from bark chippings and railway sleepers, depths in the lake vary from 2ft to 8 foot deep. Food can be delivered to your peg by prior arrangement. 24 hour carp fishing matches are also held on Kingfisher lake.

(From London) Follow M23 southbound, turning into the A23 at Crawley.
(From Brighton) Follow A23 northbound
Take the A272 turn off and follows signposts to Ansty/Haywards Heath. Follow A272 into and through Haywards Heath. At the end of the high street, take the 4th exit at the Sussex roundabout signposted Wivelsfield. Follow this road straight through for about a mile, when it turns into open countryside look out for More House Farm on the left hand side. Once inside More House Farm, take the left-hand tarmac road, minding out for the speed bumps. Turn left between the barns and steel containers and the fishery office is Unit 30 on the left-hand side.
