The Beeches (Club Only)

The Beeches fishing lake is located in the peaceful countryside in between the country villages of Peasmarsh and Wittersham. It can be found a quarter of mile north of the River Rother's Blackwall Bridge on the left hand side of the road from Peasmarsh to Wittersham. The lake covers aproximately 1-2 acres of water. The water hosts a lot of match fish which include tench to 4lb, roach to 2lb and rudd to 2lb. The water also supports a number of carp that reach upto 12lb+ and some large perch to 3lb+. The water can be prone to heavy weed growth through the summer months. The water is owned by Clive Vale Angling Club and is for members only.

Disabled Fishing - Not a fishery to fish solo for disabled anglers. There is no dedicated disabled swims at this fishery, if a disabled angler had assistance it should be possible to fish. Assistance will be needed with the initial gate to enter the fishery, there are a few fairly flat grass swims.

Night Fishing - Night fishing is available.

Parking - Parking is inside the fishery gate right next to the lake.

Features: Lilly Pads, Reeds, Weed Beds, A few Overhanging Trees
Lake Size: 1-2 acre
Lake Depth: 5-6ft
Swims: 15

The Beeches is a 1-2 acre, kidney shaped water. The lake features include the odd over hanging bush, weed beds and some large patches of reed beds and lilly pads. The banks are generally flat, grassy banks that are raised slightly from the waters edge. The Beeches on a good day could hold approximately 15 anglers. Successful baits include sweetcorn, maggots, casters, lobworms, bread, boilies.

This fishery was recently restocked with carp, roach, rudd and tench.

"beautiful 3lb 2oz perch"

"I float fished a hook of maggots by the reeds all day long and banked a large 1lb roach and a whole net of small silver fish and carp, my mate also banked a large amount of fish with the pick of the bunch being a beautiful 3lb 2oz perch"
