This is a fast and easy route * From the M2, at junction 1, take the A289 turning for Wainscot, Grain and Medway City Estate. * Turn 2nd Left onto the B2000 (Lower Rochester Road) heading for Cliffe. * Three quarters of a mile after Cliffe Woods (please respect the 30 mph speed limit) turn left into ‘Rectory Road’. This has a slip road leading up to it and is just past the millstone with Cliffe carved on it (not the earlier millstone at Cliffe Woods). *At the end of Rectory Road turn right into Buckland Road. *Buckland Lake Reserve and Fishery is approximately one hundred yards on the left hand side. Nearest Postcode ME3 7RT (this will try to take you left into Buckland Road but you need to turn right)
"Not my idea of a venue worth sitting at all day, seem very keen for you to leave promptly at7,even midsummer. Carp are glouriously shaped but no fight even on a 9 foot feeder rod. Tiny perch and usual small Rudd. Fish at this time still not showing bar for the carp.anycarp over ten pounds being shipped too the specimen lake. A no keep net rule kills pleasure fishing for the small stuff . Plenty of weed growth at the moment can make feeder fishing hard work. In conclusion I do wonder if this development is a fishery or just a reason for the owners to develop a once natural pit into a commercial enterprise".

"I didn't think this venue was worth sitting around all day for. I've been fishing since I was 8 years old and I'm now 52 so I know a thing or two. I only caught one fish during my session here, which was a very nice specimen of Crucian Carp. I did take a stroll over the back from my swim which backs onto the Specimen lake which has been created by netting off a section of the big main lake. It was a hot day and I spotted two large carp nosing along the surface in the crystal clear water only about 2 metres or so from the bank. I would like to try my luck with these two fish which I guess were around the twenty pound mark, but I wouldn't come back to fish the mixed course lake in a hurry.".
