Copthorne and District Angling Society

Copthorne Fishing Club have been running a small friendly fishing club for over 85 years. Club members receive access to a number of fishing lakes and stretches of the River Ouse. Copthorne Angling Club offer quiet and secluded angling on a range of picturesque venues based in and around Copthorne.

NOTE: Copthorne and District Angling Society (CDAS) have now combined with Haywards Heath & District Angling Society (HHDAS) to form Mid Sussex Angling (MSA).

Little Rowfant is a venue made up of 3 fishing lakes stocked with a number of carp to 20lb+.

Piltdown pond is a large 4 acre picturess pond located about two miles north-west of Uckfield. The water holds some large carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd, perch, eels and some large pike.

River Ouse

River Ouse, East Sussex

The River Ouse runs from Lower Beeding in West Sussex down through Barcombe Mills from here the river is tidal to the Sea at New Haven. This lower section of the river has strong currents and has been susceptable to flooding, the upper section is fairly slow flowing.
