River Rother Fishery Association Fishing Club
The Rother Fishery Association was first established in 1872 and is the combination of a number of small river angling clubs that have joined to become one large club. The club controls rivers within Kent and East Sussex with over 12 miles of the River Rother along with access to around 3 miles of the Military Canal.
Membership
To become an RFA member you must join one of the listed RFA CLUBS as the RFA doesn't have INDIVIDUAL membership, these include:
- Clive Vale Angling Club
- Crowborough and District Anglers Association
- Hastings, Bexhill And District Freshwater Angling Association
- Dorset Arms Angling Club
- Civil Service Angling Society
There are about 20 fishing clubs which are RFA members.

Rother Fishery Association (RFA) Rivers
River Rother, East Sussex & Kent
The River Rother runs from Rotherfield through Kent and East Sussex to the idyllic town of Rye where the mouth of the river can be found. The water holds a mix of fish species and is very popular with Pike anglers. A number of clubs have access to the river who often run match fishing competitions.
Royal Military Canal, East Sussex & Kent
The 28 mile long canal runs from Seabrook in Kent along to East Sussex. The Military Canal holds usual array of freshwater fish found in rivers around the UK with some large Carp and Pike, Perch, Eels and Tench.
