Hastings, Bexhill And District Freshwater Angling Association is a long standing coarse fishing club that was first established in 1895. The club controls a number of coarse fishing waters in the Hastings, Bexhill and District area of East Sussex including a number of stretches of the River Rother, a stretch of Wallers Haven and a number of still waters that are popular with both match and carp anglers.

Broomham has two waters together covering around 3 acres. The water
and surroundings support a lot of wildlife. Broomham lacks in size but
makes up in sizable quality of coarse fish. The top pond holds a number
of small roach and a few carp.

Buckshole Reservoir is a large, deep 8 acre water located in Hastings
in the relaxing Alexandra Park. The water and surroundings support a
lot of wildlife including a large variety of ducks and a few swans.
Buckshole Reservoir supports a sizeable number of coarse fish for the
match fisherman, some very large carp for the carp enthusiast and some
very good sized pike

Harmers pond is located in Alexandra Park. The lake is a relaxing sussex
coarse fishing venue that covers 2acres. The lake has recently been
restored and restocked to its once former glory, after receiving a grant
from the national lottery fund.

Normanhurst is a relaxing, picturess 5 acre kidney shaped lake located
in Broomham wood in Catsfield. The water and surroundings support a
lot of woodland wildlife. Normanhurst is a profolific water that supports
a sizeable number of fish for the match fisherman including some huge
tench to 8lb+, and many double figure carp for the carp enthusiast that
reach 22lb. Normanhurst is a members only water controlled by Hastings,
bexhill and district freshwater angling association.

Wishing Tree Reservoir is a highly profolific water that hosts a large
variety of fish of various sizes. The water is renowned for its large
amounts of carp. Wishing Tree Reservoirs competition catches in the
past have resulted in the winner bagging a catch of over 130lb with
2nd and 3rd places with similar sized catches. The egg shaped lake covers
aproximately 6 acres of water. The reservoir is stocked predominately
with common carp that average 3-10lb with the odd mirror that reaches
20lb. The water also holds tench to 2lb, roach and rudd to 1lb 8oz,
small perch and eels to 1lb and one catfish that was last caught at
18lb

The River Rother runs from Rotherfield through Kent and East Sussex to the idyllic town of Rye where the mouth of the river can be found. The water holds a mix of fish species and is very popular with Pike anglers. A number of clubs have access to the river who often run match fishing competitions.

Wallers Haven is a slow flowing river in East Sussex that can be around 15 feet deep in places with the edges of the river lined with reeds.
As with the majority of rivers the Wallers Haven holds some impressive Pike along with a range of fish often found in rivers including Carp reported to go to 30lb+, Tench, Bream, Roach Rudd, Eels, Perch and the ocasional Ruffe.
